Our Beginnings in Buffalo
Italian Marble & Granite, started in 1986, specializes in the fabrication of marble and granite countertops, tabletops, conference tables, flooring, and more. Our company started in a small 3000 square foot facility on Transit Road in Elma with five full-time employees. By 1993, the company expanded to an 11,000 square foot facility with 10 employees. In 2006, Italian Marble and Granite moved into its present facility in Clarence Center, New York, with over 20 employees and a 22,000 square foot indoor facility. Our indoor facility allows customers the ability to view slabs all year without being exposed to the Western New York weather. Currently our inventory is over 700 slabs with containers arriving every three weeks with new selections of marble and granite imported from all over the world. In addition to fine granite and marble, we also carry onyx, CaesarStone, Zodiaq, Silestone, Hanstone, Q-Stone, concrete, porcelain, limestone, soapstone, and fossil stone. We are consistently bringing in new materials to stay ahead of the trends in the industry.
Mark Zografos has over 20 years of experience in the stone industry. As owner of Italian Marble and Granite, Mark has completed numerous prestigious projects such as:
- Bausch & Lomb boardroom table, approximately 50 feet in length

Why Kitchen Countertops Are So Important
In the beginning, Italian Marble & Granite specialized in custom marble and granite projects for the residential market with granite kitchen countertops as the highlight of our business. Since the kitchen is used more than any other room, a well designed kitchen should not only work efficiently, but it should be a treat to the eyes as well. The trend in today’s kitchen is to showcase dramatic countertops and with our diverse selection of surface materials, you are sure to find a material that fits into your overall aesthetic.
